The Barbini family has always been protagonist of the Murano glass blowing scene. The actual factory has been founded in 1950 by the last descendent of the glorious family, Alfredo Barbini.

In the thirties is the collaboration of Alfredo Barbini with the sculpture Napoleone Martinuzzi that provokes a sculpturistic expression in his creations, typical of his minimal production.

Barbini has received official recognitions at the “Biennale of Venice” in 1950 and 1968 and “Venezia Aperto Vetro” in 1996 and is exhibiting permanently in important museums all over the world.
